These Terms & Conditions explain how bookings work and what we and you are each responsible for. By booking any service or training, paying a deposit, or allowing work to begin, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Section 1 – Training Courses
1.1 Deposits & Booking
- All training bookings require a deposit to secure your place.
- Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received.

- If you book within 14 days of your training date, you agree that your course may take place within your 14-day cancellation period.
1.2 Cancellations
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before your training date will lose the deposit.
- Cancellations within 14 days of your training date may be charged up to the full course fee, as we are unlikely to be able to fill your place at short notice.
1.3 Rescheduling
- Requests to reschedule must be made at least 14 days before your training date.
- Requests made within 14 days are treated as a cancellation under 1.2.
1.4 Cancellations by Car Valet Perth
If we need to cancel due to illness, severe weather, equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a new date, partial refund or a full refund.
1.5 Deferral (Goodwill Only)
A one-time deferral may be offered at our discretion, provided:
- The course is fully paid before the original date.
- The new date is within 6 months.
- The deferral is non-transferable.
Failure to attend the deferred date will result in loss of the course fee.
Section 2 – Valeting, Detailing & Deep Cleaning
2.1 Bookings & Deposits
- All bookings require a deposit, which is confirmed once received.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may be charged up to the full price of the booking.
- If you book within 14 days of your service date, you agree that we may begin work within your 14-day cancellation period.

2.2 Worksite Requirements (Mobile Services)
Customers must provide:
- Safe, off-road parking
- Adequate working space around the vehicle
- Safe access to electricity and water (unless agreed otherwise)
We cannot work on main roads, busy or narrow streets, pay and display car parks, or in unsafe or restricted areas.
2.3 Vehicle Condition & Heavy Soiling
Extra charges may apply for heavy mud, pet hair, mould, excess rubbish, chemical spills, paint, cement, adhesives or tar, and biohazards (vomit, blood, urine or faeces).
Please send photos before your booking so we can quote accurately. If photos are not provided, the price may be adjusted on arrival. Severe contamination may require additional time or visits.
Section 3 – Paint, Defects & Coatings
Detailing carries some inherent risks, and some defects cannot be safely removed. We will always discuss any concerns with you before starting work.
3.1 Pre-existing Damage & Defects
We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing defects that become visible, worsen or fail during or after cleaning, polishing or coating, where they result from the existing condition of the vehicle. These include:
- Rust and corrosion
- Poor resprays, filler or overspray
- Thin, soft, oxidised or failing clearcoat, and peeling lacquer
- Hidden scratches or dents
- UV-damaged plastics
- Failing trims, clips, seals or adhesives
- Failed wraps, vinyls or tint
- Loose interior trim, weak stitching or shrinking leather
- Water ingress from old seals
3.2 Machine Polishing & Scratch Removal
Please be aware that:
- Burn-through can occur on thin or compromised paint.
- Not all scratches can be removed safely.
- Stone chips may enlarge.
- Repainted panels may react unpredictably.
We take every care, but where these risks result from the existing condition of the paint, we cannot accept responsibility.
3.3 Ceramic Coating Warranty
Ceramic coating warranties cover the performance of the product. They do not cover damage or coating failure caused by:
- Poor maintenance, automatic car washes or harsh chemicals
- Bird droppings, tree sap or fallout left on the paint
- Stone chips, scratches or physical damage
- Pre-existing paint defects
Please follow the aftercare booklet provided to keep your coating performing at its best.
3.4 Interiors
We clean every interior to the highest standard using safe techniques and professional equipment. However, we cannot accept responsibility for:
- Personal items left in the vehicle
- Stains or odours that cannot be removed safely
- Fragile aftermarket accessories, or weak or brittle interior parts (for example dash cams, wiring, mounts, LED kits or seat covers)
Section 4 – Maintenance Plans
- Maintenance visits must be every 30 days or less.
- If more than 30 days pass between visits, the next visit will be charged at the Full Detail (Deep Clean) price.
- Excessive dirt, pet hair or contamination may incur extra charges.
Section 5 – Training Materials & Copyright
All training materials and digital resources are the intellectual property of Car Valet Perth (CVP Group). You may not copy, screenshot, record, reproduce, sell, share, upload, publish or teach from them.
You are welcome to post reviews, but any readable text from our materials must be blurred. Breaches will be pursued under UK copyright law.

6.1 Delays
Estimated completion times are guidelines only. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, illness, equipment failure, emergencies or other circumstances outside our control.
6.2 Rescheduling by Us
We may need to reschedule due to severe weather, unsafe working conditions, illness, equipment issues, access problems, or an incorrect service being booked. We will always offer you a new date as soon as possible.
6.3 Missed or Unworkable Bookings
We may charge up to the full price of the booking if work cannot go ahead because of:
- A no-show, or the customer not being present
- A late cancellation
- Undisclosed heavy soiling
- An unsafe environment, lack of access, or an incorrect address
- Unsafe weather conditions at the customer’s property
6.4 Payments
- Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise.
- Unpaid invoices will be pursued, and reasonable recovery costs may be added.
- For business customers, statutory interest and recovery costs will be added to overdue invoices under late payment legislation.
6.5 Insurance & Responsibility for Your Vehicle
We are insured for public liability and for working on your vehicle. While your vehicle is in our care, we take reasonable care of it, subject to Section 8. Once the keys are returned, responsibility passes back to you.
6.6 Conduct
We may end a booking immediately if our staff experience abuse, aggression, threats or unsafe behaviour. Payment may still be charged in these circumstances.
6.7 Data Protection (UK GDPR)
We store your name, address, phone number, photos and booking history securely. Your data is never sold.
We may use photos of our work for marketing unless you ask us not to. Number plates and personal details are removed or blurred before any photos are published.
Section 7 – Our Studio
7.1 Vehicle Storage
Vehicles may be stored inside or outside depending on workload. Indoor space is guaranteed where a service requires it, such as ceramic coating curing.
7.2 Vehicles Parked Outside
Vehicles parked outside our unit are left at the owner’s risk. We cannot accept liability for damage caused by weather, falling debris, theft, vandalism, fire or third parties, or for any event not caused by us.
7.3 Overnight Storage
If your vehicle stays with us overnight or outside working hours, it must remain insured. We cannot accept liability for incidents outside our control while the premises are closed.
7.4 Personal Belongings
Please remove all personal items before drop-off. Anything left in the vehicle (money, jewellery, documents, electronics, tools, child seats) is left at the owner’s risk.
7.5 CCTV
CCTV may operate around our premises, but recording and footage availability are not guaranteed. Footage is only shared where required by law.
7.6 Keys, Alarms & Immobilisers
We are not liable for faulty alarms, immobilisers activating, flat batteries, hidden cut-offs, tracker alerts or key fob clip breakages that are not caused by our negligence.
7.7 Fire, Flood & Events Outside Our Control
We cannot accept liability for damage caused by fire, flood, storms, roof leaks, burst pipes, natural disasters or structural failures that are outside our control.
7.8 Shared Premises
We are not responsible for the actions of other tenants, delivery drivers or visitors at shared premises.
7.9 Uncollected Vehicles
Vehicles not collected at the agreed time may incur storage fees of £45 per day, plus any removal charges. Vehicles left more than 14 days after completion may be treated as abandoned under Scottish law to recover costs.
7.10 Unsafe or Leaking Vehicles
We may refuse or stop work if a vehicle is unsafe or leaking fluids. Payment for lost time may be charged.
7.11 Visiting Our Studio
For everyone’s safety:
- Please follow our safety rules and stay out of the detailing bay and work areas.
- Children and pets are not permitted in work areas.
- Filming or photography is not allowed without permission.
Section 8 – Mobile Work at Your Property
These terms apply to all mobile and on-site work, including homes, workplaces, driveways, garages and shared parking areas.
8.1 Safe Working Area
The customer must make sure the working area is safe, level, free from hazards, and not excessively icy, muddy or unstable. If the area is unsafe, we may postpone or refuse the job.
8.2 Your Property
We cannot accept liability for incidents caused by the condition of your property, such as uneven ground, loose surfaces, unsafe access, or hazards that were not disclosed to us. If our staff are injured or our equipment is damaged because of unsafe premises, the customer may be liable for the costs.
8.3 Power & Water
Where the customer provides power or water, the customer is responsible for the safety of sockets, taps and extension cables. We are not liable for damage caused by faulty wiring, weak circuits or plumbing defects. If no safe power or water is available, the booking may be charged under Section 6.3.
8.4 Driveways & Drainage
We cannot accept liability for flooding caused by poor drainage, sinking on soft driveways, or damage to loose grout, cracked slabs or weakened surfaces, unless caused by our negligence. Please let us know about any drainage concerns before we start.
8.5 Hazardous Vehicle Interiors
We may refuse or stop work immediately if a vehicle contains sharp objects, biohazards, illegal substances or infestations. Payment for lost time may be charged, and an additional fee applies if removal is requested.
8.6 Security Systems
Please tell us if your vehicle has auto-locking, tracker or movement alarms, hidden immobilisers, or sensitive aftermarket security systems. We are not liable for lockouts, alarm triggers or flat batteries caused by these systems. Any locksmith assistance needed is at the customer’s cost.
8.7 Vehicle Condition
Please make sure your vehicle has enough fuel and battery charge to be moved, and that the tyres are safe. If the vehicle cannot be moved or operated safely, we may refuse the work and charge under Section 6.3.
8.8 Shared or Public Spaces
If work is carried out in shared parking, communal areas, apartment blocks or workplace car parks, the customer is responsible for making sure permission is in place.
8.9 Weather
If weather conditions make the job unsafe or impossible, we will rebook it with you, or treat it as a missed appointment under Section 6.3 if the conditions were known in advance and not communicated to us.
8.10 Pets, Children & Visitors
Please keep pets contained, children supervised, and visitors away from our work area, equipment, cables and chemicals.
Section 9 – Warning Lights & Mechanical Faults
9.1 We do not diagnose or repair mechanical faults or warning lights unless agreed as a separate service. If we notice a warning light or fault, we will let you know and recommend a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
9.2 We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing mechanical, electrical, battery, tyre, brake or suspension faults, or for warning lights caused by issues unrelated to our work.
9.3 If your vehicle has active warning lights (such as airbag, ABS or oil pressure), please address these before booking any service that involves moving or operating the vehicle.
9.4 If you request a basic visual check, we will tell you about any visible issues. This is not a full mechanical diagnostic.
Section 10 – Acceptance of Terms
By booking any service or training, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, which are governed by Scottish law. Please check for the most up-to-date version at the time of booking.
Thank you for trusting us with your vehicle. We’re confident you’ll be pleased with the results.
